Brendan Keatley
Brendan Keatley is currently serving as President. He assumed the role as President on January 1, 2005. A member of the Executive Board since 1999, Brendan has served in numerous capacities, including Vice President.

David Davis
David Davis has been a member of the Local 786 Executive Board since 2002 and served as Vice President since March of 2005. In addition to his duties as Vice President, Brother Davis serves as a labor representative on the Safety Committee and a member of the Local 786 Negotiating Committee.
Brother Davis is a Fire Fighter assigned to Group 4, Station 1, Tower 1 Driver.

Charles Cackowski
Charles Cackowski has served as Treasurer of Local 786 since 1998. In addition to the position of Treasurer, Brother Cackowski serves as a member of the Local 786 Negotiating Committee.
Brother Cackowski is a Fire Fighter assigned to Group 2, Station 5, Rescue 1 Driver.

Victor Rella
Victor Rella has served as Secretary of Local 786 since 2000. In addition to his duties as Secretary, Brother Rella serves as the scribe and alternate to the Local 786 Negotiating Committee. Brother Rella is a Lieutenant assigned to Group 2, Station 1, Truck 1.

Legislative Representative
James Kelley
James "Jim" Kelley has been a member of the Local 786 Executive Board since January 2005.
In December of 2006, Brother Kelley was elected to serve as the Legislative Representative for Local 786.
In the spring of 2006, Brother Kelley was appointed by the International Association of Fire Fighters as a liason and Statewide Coordinator for the successful IAFF Fire Fighters for Lieberman senate campaign.
Brother Kelley is also a 2005 graduate of the IAFF Political Training Conference.
Brother Kelley serves as a Lieutenant assigned to Group 3, Engine Co. 6

Daniel Hunsberger
Dan Hunsberger has served the Executive Board of Local 786 for almost 20 years. He has held numerous Board positions, including President. In addition to his service with Local 786, Dan serves as the Vice President of the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut and is an attorney specializing in labor-based issues. Brother Hunsberger is a Captain assigned to Group 3, Engine Co. 7.

George Barron is the senior member of the Local 786 Executive Board and has served the Union for more than 20 years. Throughout his tenure, George has served in numerous capacties including Legislative Representative from 1999 to 2005. Brother Barron is a Fire Fighter/Deputy Chief's Aide assigned to Group 2, Fire Headquarters.

Robert Ofiero
Brother Robert Ofiero returned to serve on the Local 786 Executive Board in December of 2006 after a short break from the Board. Previously, Brother Ofiero spent over a decade of service with the Local 786 Executive Board.
Brother Ofiero will serve a 2-year term from January 1, 2007 to January 1, 2009.
Brother Ofiero is a Fire Fighter/Deputy Chief's Aide assigned to Group 4.

Robert Sollitto
Brother Robert Sollitto was elected to the Local 786 Executive Board in December 2007. Brother Sollitto will serve a 2-year term from January 1, 2008 to January 1, 2010. Brother Sollitto is a Deputy Fire Marshal assigned to the Fire Marshal Division.

Paul Anderson
Paul Anderson is serving the remainder of Brother Robert Panapada's 2-year term as the Executive Board Representative for member's assigned to the Turn of River Fire Department. Brother Anderson is responsible for all issues affecting our members employed under the "District 2" Collective Bargaining Agreement. Brother Anderson is a Fire Fighter assigned to the Turn of River Fire Department. Brother Anderson's term runs from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008.

Millions of New Tax Dollars Proposed To Support Mayor Pavia's "Unified" Fire Service??
Mayor Pavia has proposed a new "plan" to establish a new Fire Department to serve the northern 2/3 of the City of Stamford. This new Department will cost upwards of 10 million dollars per year just to start and will only rise over time. How is he going to pay for this? A new FIRE TAX on homeowners!!! All of this during a time when he promised to hold the line on property taxes and essential City programs and services have been cut and hundreds of City jobs have been eliminated. On Monday, May 10, 2010, a Long Ridge Fire Chief cancelled numerous City and Volunteer Fire Units responding to assist his Department during a chimney fire.
